Norwood makes art across a variety of disciplines this can be painting, sculpture or furniture. Norwood applies acrylic car paint to surfaces and manipulates the saturation of colour and gloss to draw the viewer into the decadence of his psychedelic world. The combined process of gravity, sanding, chemical reaction, temperature, hydrophobia and evaporation creates details reminiscent of a wide range of natural forms and landscapes.
Steff Norwood was born in Glasgow, 1972 and graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2000 and completed the MLitt course at The Glasgow School of Art in 2014. Norwood has exhibited widely, and regularly collaborates with other artists. Next year he will participate in the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art.
